UK speeds are rarely as advertised. I've sometimes got the full 100mbps I'm supposed to get but most of the time it's below that. Also there are reliability issues which makes playing vidya impossible (which is a reason why I don't do gaymen).
Upstairs at the desktop the speeds are under 5mbps but that's because I'm far away from the shitty router and I'm using a raspberry pi as the bridge (it's on 100 mode but rarely hits 10)

What up Manchester bro
Sky - 20mbps ADSL Internet connection, phoneline (unused), Sky+ box with basic package, with a friends and family deal it costs £10 per month as before every renewal my missus just calls to cancel and they throw us another discount.
They do enforce torrent filters etc so you have to be crafty for certain places.
On BT infinity here. 52Mb package but only get around 24Mb due to the fact I live in bum fuck no where and over 1KM from our cabinet.

How big is your house? I get the same speeds upstairs as I do when sat right next to the router down in the lounge
>>58245881
Tiny terrace house, but the walls are pretty thick. The reason why it's slow up here is because we have the old hub (with underpowered circuitry and antenna) from Virginmedia which needs upgrading. Hopefully a more powerful antenna will get signal through the walls more easily, but so far we haven't asked to have it replaced yet as it ain't broke.
