Anyway OP, the most commonly recommended drives I see here are the Sandisk Ultra series of drives. Good build, 3.0, and easy to get.

SSDs are chips. USB drives are also SSDs, and chips. 3.0/1 usb drives start with 200+mb/s write and drop to some 50-20mb/s after a like 2 seconds. USB 3.0 allows some 600MB/s and 3.1 some 1.3gb/s. Literally no 3.0/1 usb drive comes close to that. I'm not only saying they should, I'm also saying they should advertise their shit accurately.

I have these in order from top 128gb, 64gb, 32gb, 16gb. The 32 is in my car for music, I use the 64 for installing oses and random bs, the 128gb is in my raspberry pi for misc writes that I don't want to impose on the sd card. The 16 has slowed down to usb 2.0 speed, and I only use it if I have to.

The Survivor is 32gb and i use it for important documents, pictures, that kinda stuff. Voyager GTX 128gb is used at work when transferring data (usually desktop, downloads, docs, favorites, etc) to a user's new machine because of the read/write speeds, i also have some generic samsung ones but they're for unimportant things and school and whatnot
