In a market consisting of thousands of people interested and are actively participating in private trackers, there is currently 1 (one) podcast dedicated to it. If Sarek played his hands right he can do more damage to PTH in the long term than PTH can to him desu.

You've really got two/three options. Now is the WORST TIME EVER to join trackers.

WCD closed. Everyone got frightened off and removed all their invites especially cabal aka good trackers.

Option 1 - Join MAM and reach Power User or VIP. This is easy but MAM doesn't really have that good of an invite selection.

Option 2 - Wait for PTH to do interviews. It could be months down the track. But they did have an interview thread.

Option 3 - Join/interview at the dead end tracker Xanax/Apollo and pray to god that their sysop allows people to offer invites to other trackers. The chances that Xanax will have good official invites is basically 0 because they allowed about 20,000 people to signup and their economy hands out more free shit than MAM. However, there should be a large amount of former WCD members there and at least some of them should have accounts on other PTs. And although other trackers might no movement you might have some trackers which don't no movement and allow class advancement if the ban on tracker invite offering is ever, ever lifted.

I post here as this seems to be a particularly knowledgeable community with regard to filesharing and the like. I've long been a fan of the publicly-available methods of sourcing ebooks online - namely, Libgen and IRC. But I've recently become aware of the existence of private ebook trackers such as Bibliotik and MAM, and was wondering - might these in fact be a better option?
Quality is important for me, of course - but the most important thing is quantity (whether a certain book is actualla available or not). This is the case as I overwhelmingly use Libgen, etc. for college work (although I don't really care whether textbooks are available - that's not the kind of stuff I'm looking for).
So, in my particular areas of work - politics, history, and stuff along those lines (mainly non-fiction), how do the private trackers (Bibliotik in particular, but others too!) stack up against public options?
