except of course you could tell the password to a completely clean partition. Your real partition can be completely hidden. Truecrypt and Veracrypt can set up hidden encrypted volumes.

Idiotic, just give the password, but make sure the password only access the visible part of the encrypted partition. The hidden partition that you use can not be viewed and nobody can now it exists either.

Veracrypt and Truecrypt have solutions for when you have to give away a password. They wont find anything of course, just a normal file system, maybe put some memes in there

Which is why you always can fill up the partition as much as you want. It will corrupt your hidden partition, but they can not know it's there.
