Building a new PC - AMD or Intel CPU?

Hey /g/, I havn't been in the game for 3 years and I'm not quite sure where to take this next build.

I made two builds for about $1k, an AMD and an Intel build. I don't care about AMD's record of running hot as I won't be running close to benchmark temps and they come with the new Wraith cooler which seems ok just fuckhuge. Which option is better? Should I just wait for the Ryzen instead and the new MOBO to go with it or will that be priced out of a $1k build?

AMD FX-8370 4ghz (Factoring in a free Wraith cooler it's half the price of the i7)
>Build total is $1k, could be $800 on sale
>Looks like limited MOBO options, and I can only go DDR3 2400

Intel i7 6700k 4ghz (Or maybe the i5 6600 to save $100?)
>Build total is $1200 but on sales less than 1k
>Looks like more MOBO options than AMD? PC Parts Picker says I can go DDR4 3000
>All other options are identical in this build
