Any of you guys mess with home automation?
I just went to buy some Philips Hue bulbs but everywhere is out of stock.

Yeah, have been for a few years now.
I have a first gen Hue and it's mediocre at best. It's not a full spectrum of colors (basically can't get greens/dark greens) and it's not very bright. Would not have paid the $120 for it that I did.

I think I'm just going to go with the plain white bulbs.
It'd be cool to have colours, but at the end of the day they're just a novelty and not worth paying the extra for.

Don't overpay for hue bulbs then. Get the GE Link bulbs or something and pair them with a hub.
gf on/off when
BR?

As far as I can tell the GE Link bulbs aren't available in Australia. All I've seen is Philips Hue and Belkin WeMo.

No. Considering that the government is now getting warrants for shit like the Amazon Echo, there's no point.
My iPhone has a 20 digit password. It's quicker for me to stand up and walk to whatever it is that I want to change.

Amazon Echo controls my bedroom lights.
Every morning and night it's the same struggle of asking 1-4 times to turn them on or off.

Why on earth would you buy that thing?

Has anyone found a decent garage door opener?
Everything seems to require being hardwired. Surely there's something that can emulate the remote.
