what is post-mechanical tech?
post-mechanical tech is basically obsolete stuff, like civil defense sirens and tape decks.

is a analog oscilloscope a post obsolete mechanic thingy?

yes

>took apart an 8 track player that i got at the salvation army for like $4. It was interesting -- all the resistors were in one area, the transformers were aligned... you could get a decent feel for what is happening 'under the hood'
Its almost a shame that electronics are so miniaturized and sophisticated. Its pretty hard to tinker past the basics without getting into custom ASICs and shit or needing an oscilloscope. yet programming is free and it doesnt interest me quite the same. its too ethereal; there's just something about building circuits that's cool
thanks for reading my blog

more examples of mechanical post op salami clocks?
>>58220767
there's a fine line there. before surface mount, stuff was pretty easy to eyeball, but if you go pre-PCB then everything is point-to-point wiring, which is an awful mess
more examples of post obsolete electronical analogs please
