so I got this AMD FX-4300 system from a friend awhile back with some 2x2gb Ripjaws 1333 ram in it. Yesterday I tried putting 2x4gb 1600 in it and it worked, then today I tried using some spare DDR3 sticks that i have lying around to free up the 2x4gb kit. Once I tried powering it on it didnt boot fully.
So i put the original 2x2gb kit back and it is giving me the same no boot problem.
Does anyone have any ideas of what could have possibly gone wrong?

Reset CMOS by pulling out the battery, wait a few minutes then put it back in.

i did, aaaaand it still didnt work. i re removed the CMOS battery for a few minutes, put the 4 sticks in and it didnt work

Do the sticks lock in on both sides?
On my new motherboard I spent 45 minutes trying to figure if my RAM sticks were DOA.
They only locked on one side, I just didn't get them fully seated on the other.
