At this point I don't know what the fuck they are doing.
When I installed the early release of windows 8 the first thing I said is, "it runs cleanly and it will be interesting to see how the implement the option to turn off all of the tablet shit for desktop use".

Then they kept the tablet shit in and everyone hated the OS.

With Windows 10 they forced old windows versions to upgrade which genuinely enraged a large amount of people (and rightfully so) and also made it track and report way too much shit to be safe.

Some people care about that (like most PC enthusiasts, the privacy conscious, etc.) but there are a ton of normies out there that won't worry about it.

Are there even any DX12 games out yet that require you to use Win 10? The only way Microsoft could regain the trust of the people is to release a clean version of their OS with the privacy shit implemented from the start. That won't happen though.
