It's 3.4 pounds, 5 with the battery pack. Literally no different than a regular laptop, There's no point to it.

A surface pro is 2.3, That's more portable. A zenbook is 2-2.5

My x230 with 9cells battery (7 hours or more when new) feels way lighter than a 13.3 2014/15 MBP, not to talk about the 2012 one.
I basically carry it around like a tablet, and the screen is so strong I can hold it from that and there are no ultrabooks that can do that.
The full powered i5 can definitively beat any new generation ULV, and it has an excellent cooling system, it never feels hot during browsing and even during hard works (I use it for 3D with blender) the heat never reaches the keyboard or palmrest, I cannot say the same from my experience with macbooks.
The only downside is the lowres screen and I have a TN, it kinda sucks, but for the rest is literally the best laptop I can imagine, I thought is was falling for the meme when I bought it but god it is just great.
