my 1070 doesn't go higher than 65 under high load.
but then, it's a gigabyte one with 3 huge fans
>DUDE PADS LMAO
I thought it would just be a "take 1-2 pieces off, add a pad, close it again" deal but holy fuck it is so ridiculous the shit they want you to do
but xD you can RMA it and have pajeet over at EVGA support do it for you while you sit with a thumb up your ass for a week
Honestly I'm done with EVGA after this, probably nvidia as a whole too
>EVGA
Just buy MSI next time.
>>58204645
This
just updated the driver for my gtx 1060 and it's now running at around 85 degrees, up from around 72 the last time around
>just change the settings in the control panel dummy!
can't, it's a laptop and nvidia cant be fucked fixing that bug
would be nice if nvidia spent some of those bazillions of dollars fixing their drivers once in a while instead of snorting it all up their noses
OP pic is card during stress test, not actual regular gaming.

join the red team
>>58204701
OP's talking about the VRM temperature not the GPU temperature.
>>58204559
I just bought this and oc am I fucked
>>58204827
Didn't fit in my case
meanwhile... my AMD Radeon... Eis Kold baby...
...because the drivers are f*cked so no vidya works anyway...
>>58204827
Bought myself MSI GTX1070 Armor last week, senpai
>>58204846
Funny that the last update was a few weeks back and it actually lowered temps.
Also it wont hit 85, itll hit 83 then throttle
>>58204562
I never buy from that particular brand so I'm fine! : ^ )
>he bought Nvidia
HAHAHAHA
>>58204827
wtf i love msi now
>evga
>good
so gigabyte is better than EVGA?
So much samefagging in this thread.
Are you that sad anon
>tfw have a 390
Should've bought Palit... Palit master race!!!
>>58207042
i wouldn't want to buy a Palit because it looks too much like Pajeet.
fuck's sake, /g/, what have you done to me?
>>58204559
This is a wellknown problem of EVGA 1070 and 1080. It is a vendor problem, Asus, MSI, etc do not have an issue
>>58204559
its a famous Indian virus that causes this. all nvidia cards heat up when you have that virus.
Eh everyone fucks up once in a while. This is why you should look for thorough reviews of the exact card you inted to buy.
At least they added the heat pads after they got called out.
>inb4 nvidia/evga shill
I have an r9 fury nitro and I love it. You should all know better than to trust any company at face value ever.
