Can I return something used back to Best Buy for my money back?
> Paid for a device costing $300 with cash paper money
> Want to return it (slightly worn but practically good still) for money back
So anyone have experience with such a predicament?
Yes, until Jan 15 if you bought it in the past couple months

#1: Are you within return timeframe, have your receipt, and nothing is obviously wrong?
Yes, they will return it just fine.
#2: Did you lose your receipt like a disorganized mexican hooker, but all other above criteria?
They can look it up and give you store credit.
#3: Are you outside of return policy, don't have a receipt, and shit is pretty fucked?
Don't be a fucking nigger.
If I bought something from you 4 months ago, used it, and said you had to give me what I paid you back for it, I'm pretty fucking sure you'd tell me to fuck off, much the same way Best Buy would tell you to fuck off.

They used to do that gay restocking fee nonsense but i was told by one of their employees that they stopped.
If for any reason they try to enforce that again, all you need to do to get around it is say that what ever you bought is defective. They can't restock something that's broken.

Customer service guy here, they do not charge a restock fee any more. The only time I have ever seen a restock fee was when this guy brought in this obscure as fuck phone that he probably had to get shipped from the catacombs of some warehouse across the continent.
