They seem advantageous to me. I'm upgrading to a 21:9 monitor as a substitute for two 5:4 monitors and would have two monitors angled anyway

no. neither is freesync or gsync. you don't notice it so much going to a higher framerate but you sure will notice ubisoft's 'cinematic' 24 fps when you come across it on your average shitty office monitor at work
