Hm. Maybe DDR4 RAM would be good? The disparity in bandwidth and performance between GDDR5 RAM and DDR3/4 is huge which means the GPU would be starved for info. Maybe if everything used modular HBM then this would be a good design but I don't see system RAM being replaced in such a way, even if they do have APUs with 8GB built in and that's all of it, there still won't be modularity to it.
