here's a photo I just took with the Pro, it has the dual sensors for depth detection in macro photography allowing you to emulate DoF. The software isn't as strong as more expensive competitors like the P9 but it's good for the price.

It also has the OLED screen which is gorgeous but time will tell how it fares.

It has no global rom so you're basically stuck with the xiaomi.eu rom and that's it.

Some sellers are advertising phones as having global roms when none exist. The phone turns up with a rom that is listed as global in the settings menu but the id doesn't match any known software. I have a "custom" vendor ROM based on MIUI8. It has no Chinese apps or letters anywhere.

I'm happy with it. It's fast, responsive and in the month I've had it I've had no stability issues. It doesn't have updates, but neither does the Xiaomi.eu ROM.

Others complain about spyware/adware/malware but I haven't experienced it. I use it for calling, texting, WhatsApp, signal, browsing, Clover, listening to music, Google maps and as a TV remote because it has an IR blaster. I don't use it to hack the Gibson.

For the $160 I paid for it I'm extremely happy. The screen is not scratch resistant so you have to get a screen protector or just be careful with it. I don't have a screen protector or case for it yet and I took it snowboarding, kept it in my jacket pocket and it's fine.

I think it's a fantastic phone for the price. I had a Moto G and Moto E before it and it blows those out of the water. In my family there's a Samsung S6, iPhone 6S and iPhone 5. I'd pick this phone over any of those any day. Not to mention it's 3x cheaper than those with comparable performance.

They're "pretty good" especially for the price. Definitely not finely machined; they came with some minor scratches/flaws from the factory, and they're not milled out to be totally fair (the 2 face definitely is heavier than the 5 face, unless they have differential face heights which "lol it's cheap chinese crap what do you think?"), but they're good enough if you're not gambling on them and look nice/would make a nice gift. I'm probably going to buy another 5 sets or so for birthdays and shit.

The little presentation case is nicer than I thought it might be; nice enough to give them in, and it's lined with felt or whatever so they don't rattle. Not super sturdy, it's thin sheet aluminum and would bend if you weren't careful, but it's okay.

Having to do all these fixes goes to show how incomplete the Xiaomi.eu ROM really is. And right now I have a fully functioning OS where *everything* works.

On the xiaomi.eu forums there's a lot of complaints about phones getting bricked and things not working. When I flashed CM13 it put my Moto G in a boot loop. And I tried the snapshot and three different nightly releases. Then when CM14 came out I flashed that and it worked without a hitch.

Does it matter WHY the package never got to you? AliExpress orders have tracking numbers as well. You can prove to Alipay you never got your package.

The two seem exactly the same to me: if you didn't get your item, and you prove it by providing a tracking number, you get your money back.
