Never really had much luck with third party firewalls. If you're worried about Windows 10 botnet, then you shouldn't be using Windows to begin with to be honest. Other than that:
Music Bee for music player.
Media Player Classic for video player.
qBittorrent for torrent client.

If you want games, you're gonna have to accept the botnet, unfortunately. Until Linux gets more game support (i.e. never) we're all stuck with either windows and its botnet if we want to game or linux and nogaems.
