Clearly the white mouse face atop a blue circule background is the logo for xubuntu, with an x, whereas the dark silhouette of a mouse is the logo for xfce, the DE.

Since neither logos are copyrighted, derivative uses of the xfce logo, such as the xubuntu logo, are well within the norm and to an extent, expected, as it makes logical sense considering a big part of xubuntu is the xfce desktop environment.
