>Big city mayor took a bunch of money from a bunch of companies to forcibly exclude by law this one company from operating in the area
>It offers way higher internet speeds at way lower costs since they're actually willing to build up half-modern infrastructure instead of using decades old copper to squeeze every drop of profit
>Or that one company that actually has FTTH, but offers 20down max anyways for 5 times the price because OMG FIBER TECHNOLOGY
>If they're not allowed to build in the big city, they sure as fuck can't branch out to here

>Stuck with 8down/0.5up DSL, only a single ISP in the area (the phone company)
>Also I have to get my TV via a fucking aerial antenna unless I want to pay the DirectTV jews an insane amount of cash; 30 channels of sweet sweet SD broadcasts for my 1080p TV
>Company that got fucked over offers 50down/5up for the same price, along with VOIP and an actually half-decent cable package

The telecom business is without a doubt the worst single thing to have ever happened in the history of humanity.

How did you make sure that it was previously used by a business and not some random guy?
>>
>>58133719
What is life like in Mexico? Is it really a shithole like the media would like you to believe?

Like for example... say your neighbor gets in a fight with your son, can you call the police and expect a trained officer to arrive at the scene within 10-20 mins? If you get sick, can you easily go to a well maintained hospital with semi-modern technology? If you get injured on the job, can you expect some help from the goverment... or do you and your family go hungry until you are well?

I feel like there's a lot of propaganda here in the US, but I'm not sure at the extent of what's true or not.
>>
>>58138315
>say your neighbor gets in a fight with your son, can you call the police and expect a trained officer to arrive at the scene within 10-20 mins?

Depends where you live, if you live in rural parts with no people, it's very unlikely that someone will arrive after 20 or 30 minutes

>If you get sick, can you easily go to a well maintained hospital with semi-modern technology?

Yes, if you live in big cities, you can expect that, rural areas might be a little difficult but even small towns have professional doctors, look at how many gringos come to Mexico for medical tourism

>If you get injured on the job, can you expect some help from the goverment... or do you and your family go hungry until you are well?

As far as i know, the company that hired you must provide you with healthcare and other things, if they don't you can sue them.
>>
>>58138315
It depends on where you live, if you live in any of the major cities, it's no different from any other major city.

If you live in a shitty town in a poor state you are screwed.

Mexico's problem is not widespread poverty but how abismal the differences are between classes, rich people are Forbes while the working class barely gets enough to get by.
>>
>>58138116
that tiny security port that some businesses and stores use to prevent the laptop from getting jacked?

Jesus. I'm getting 3 up,/.5 down in dallas. Old ass condo upgrading to fiber in a few months. 100 down minimum by march. I'm moving out before then lol.

>I used Izzi back when they were still Cablevision and they were complete garbage

I think it depends where you live, i have noticed that certain ISP are very shitty in certain areas
>>
>>58139284

Thats exactly my point pendejo. Its way bigger than the competition and their infrastructure remains unmatched.
>>
>>58139658
>Its way bigger than the competition and their infrastructure remains unmatched.

It's funny because Axtel and Totalplay provides a better and more stable Internet than shitty Telmex

>>
>>58133719
Axtel or Pre-jew megacable when they sold the internet only package.

I have 20MB for $15 and 50 MB for $20 on my house.
>>
>>58137769
>>58137543
Mercadolibre has them too but dont expect warranty.
>>
>>58138315
>Is it really a shithole like the media would like you to believe?

There are shithole zones, mostly to the south.
Those are the places the media loves to report on because of common basic human rights infringements caused by organized crime and corruption.

>can you call the police and expect a trained officer to arrive at the scene within 10-20 mins?
yes, this isn't africa

>If you get sick, can you easily go to a well maintained hospital with semi-modern technology? If you get injured on the job, can you expect some help from the goverment... or do you and your family go hungry until you are well?

Nigger you get healthcare just by existing.
If they can't cure you in the public hospital they send you to a private one all paid for.
They even pay for plastic surgery.
>>
>>58137322
> ISP: AXTEL
>>
>>58138877

Maybe this anon means IZZI with "Easy"
>>
>>58138315
>What is life like in Mexico? Is it really a shithole like the media would like you to believe?
Mostly south, places like Oaxaca and Guerrero.
Southeast and Southwest is fine.

>Like for example... say your neighbor gets in a fight with your son, can you call the police and expect a trained officer to arrive at the scene within 10-20 mins?
Yes, there are police everywhere usually.

You can get healthcare or give to other members of your family if you get hired on anything.
Everything is paid, literally everything.
No need for insurance like the US.

Most people still go to private doctors because its usually superior and faster to free healthcare but its better having it for a emergency.
>>
>>58139361
Yeah, but Cablevision was next level shit.

>shit nominal speeds
>your internet signal goes through the same coaxial cable as the TV of the everyone in the block, so during prime time you'll never get the nominal speed you are paying for
>all ports except 80 blocked on their end, and you need to call customer service if you need a specific port forwarded
>assloads of latency
>throttled up the ass
>unstable as fuck
>shit technical service on the internet side

Those assclowns made Jewlmex look acceptable by comparison
>>
>>58140375
I have Izzi and the service is ok, i noticed that speed is a little bit slower during the night but that's it.

I had shitty Telmex for several years, I had 10 mbps but i barely got 2 mbps.
>>
>>58140402
Maybe they have gotten better in the last few years, but I dropped them like hot garbage and never looked back the moment Axtel put fiber on my block.

In theory Telmex and Izzy had data caps at some points, but they were buried under loads of their retarded ToS, nowadays I couldn't find anything related in either, never heard of anyone paying for going over it either
Though 5 years ago I had the most basic service Telmex offered, which I discovered had data caps a few years later, around 100gb iirc, but I easily did 700gb monthly during those days
