The hdd on my laptop died some time ago and i need it to work when im traveling.
So i'm going to put a distro in an usb flash drive and boot from there. Im leaning toward debian live.
I wonder if there's is a distro really fit for that kind of boot ? (i dont think gentoo is a good choice considering i'm going tonight)
And also if there's some speed problems ? Im not going to do anything fancy, mostly work (word processing, reading pdf and programming) and entertainement (mpv, vidya)

Download Unetbootin and choose your distro, don't complicate things. (i suggest xubuntu)

>not Kubuntu
Puppy and Kali are made for livebooting
Rufus + lubuntu

Whatever you're familiar with considering that you probably don't want to be downloading packages when trying to fix shit.
Mint/Cinnamon comes with gparted which is pretty essential. Some Ubuntu spins don't which is retarded.
They all boot live but the god tier distro designed to boot live is Knoppix.
