Monitors will use usb-c, speakers will use usb-c, keyboard, mice, external storage, networking, camera, all will use usb-c. One day you will be begging for more ports and buy 1-to-4 usb-c hubs. Also laptops will stop supplying power adapters because you can get pass power through monitor.

Its going to be a decade before every printer, OHP, and memory stick is USB-C. It may e the future, but peripherals will not get upgraded that soon.
