How does /g/ structure their data?
I'm gonna reorganize all my data, games, movies, etc., and reinstall Win 7 and two linux destros. I have a 120GB SSD (for win7) ,a 400GB SSD, a 2TB HDD and a 500GB HDD. Tips or thoughts on how to organize everything and where to put the linux distros (Only gonna give them 50GB each)?

I have 4 3tb drives in freenas.
>>
>>58114283
you don't exactly have a complex disk setup there dude just put your shit where you want
>>
>>58114283
i just download them to the first drive i find that has free space
>>
>>58114283
Install windows on all drives so it runs faster .

You should make a folder for pictures of your girlfriend and allocate 0 bytes to it.
>>
thats actually a good subject
>>
for movies, series and the like, i like to have 3 folder hierarchies (with genres and whatnot) for:
-to watch
-permanent keeping (just some really good stuff youll always be copying to someone)
-watched, after friends have copied to their hdds i can delete

so if i ever need purging i delete the watched folder, and i dont forget what i have watched without needing some media manager

whats with your name? did that chan get a replacement yet?

If you're not going to use Linux as a primary OS, just install your distros in VMs, it's far more efficient in terms of space and it makes them portable.

Windows Server 2012 R2
1TB boot drive for system and applications.
4x 3TB WD Red drives arranged in a Storage Space for redundancy.

Storage Spaces can handle a drive failure really smoothly, and allows me to add more drives if needed to the spare SATA ports on the board.

I have my 240GB SSD (named Melchior) for operating systems and programs and I have a 320GB HDD (named Balthasar) for data (music, some favourite movies, docs). And I have a 1 TB external HDD (named Casper) for backups.

+ 500GB 2,5" external HDD for backups.
If you use more than 500GB of storage space you should consider cleaning up your shit. Buying extra storage space just to store tv shows and anime pedophile materials is an act of degeneracy and mental illness

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
