Yes, I bought an "AOC Q2577PWQ" 25" 1440P IPS monitor. I had the same model earlier this year but I returned it because of a dead pixel in the middle of the screen (really annoying because it's on my workspace area in Photoshop. If it was in the corner I couldn't have cared less.

This newly purchased monitor though has no faults. No dead pixels or anything. And personally I think the picture quality and color is way better than my Dell U2414H (which was supposed to be factory calibrated but had an awful green tint out of the box. The Anti-Glare coating on my Dell monitor is shit compared to the AOC one aswell. The Dell monitor's coating is very grainy).

1080P vs 1440P is like night and day to be honest. Text and fonts on my Dell monitor is really pixelated compared to the AOC 1440P monitor. It's just so fucking "clear" on the 1440P monitor. I didn't pull the trigger on a 4K UHD monitor because there's only like 3 models in my country and they are very expensive.

As a side note, I also had another Dell U2414H in a dual monitor setup last year but it had awful banding on certain colors (especially orange and brown) so I returned it. I think most monitors are good but there is just a lottery on getting a flawless product. I wish quality control was better across all manufacturers.

I'm really happy with the monitor though, considering the cheap price (2800 SEK/300 USD). The Dell U2414H still sells for 2600 SEK/280 USD.

I appreciate the write up anon.
I never had issues with my U2414H, apart from stuff like the sRGB 'factory calibration' being pretty different from one monitor to the other, with one of them having yellow whites. The coating is a bit grainy when looking at certain stuff, and for some reason looks worse on the sRGB mode, but apart from that there's nothing that really bothers me. I think I'm going to wait maybe a couple of years before upgrading them though, because a 970 isn't going to be enough to play stuff at 1440p 60FPS, and I don't want to buy any of the new 10 series GPUs. I am really curious about the upgrade to 1440p though, because the extra space to work must be really helpful.

GPUs never hold for 5+ years, if you want to max settings. But the 1080Ti will be also super expensive.

The 1070 is perfect for 1440p60, for 144 you need to reduce settings. Its still suitable for 4K, even in Witcher I only had to turn off HBAO+ and lighting/shadow details, same for BF1. Other details run maxed out. Decide if you are willing to pay twice for a few unnecessary settings.

How did you survive with a 680 so long, it was a good card for 1080p60, but shutters already @2K.

Best advice is save up for a real desk, glass top desks can shatter from temperature changes, pressure changes, sudden shift in weight, etc.

Happened to me about a decade ago, put a cold drink on the desk on a hot day and it just shattered and all my shit went on the floor in a pile of shattered glass.
