I am pretty certain I found them here around 6 years ago. So they are probably older again.

I must admit, I did have a little play around with this back in the day. Long time ago now
(No more botnetted pics no, I am done)
What's the best crypter?
What the fuck does a crypter even do?
Can't you make a FUD crypter by yourself?
>>58102185
Oh shit. Remember ProRAT?
>>58102188
OP here, dont ask me, thats crap I have no idea about.
>>58102169
srs? I would have thought the average internet user would know by now not to run random executables they find on the internet.
Also I'd be scared of getting popped by the fbi or something. I remember ratting from my home IP back in 06-07 without caring much, but then again I was also underage then
>>58102200
Nope, I have never heard of that. I played with Sub7, BO and Netbus and thats about it.
>>58102188
Themida is great and has been for almost a decade.
You can make a 'crypter/packer/blowjobmachine', but it is a lot different now than a UPX packed executable. You'll need to write a virtualizer with your own virtual machine to be highly successful. Then a week after someone in the security business gets it and black lists it, there goes 6 months of your life.
>>58102211
>I would have thought the average internet user would know by now not to run random executables they find on the internet.
You think too highly of the average internet user. I don't think you realize how many people use the internet
>>58102211
Just look at the headlines all the time now. People are still just as retarded now as they were then. People really don't like paying for anti virus software either if you talk to them about it.
People download shit all the time thinking it is a crack or some sort of thing they won't want to pay for. Also there are always good 0day exploits out there. Firefox had a nice one not too long ago. Flash always has things going on.
I bet if you were to write a Skype spreader like the old AIM ones (circa 2005), you'd get a large botnet of high school kids.
>>58102246
Yes, look at my pictures here.
>>58102211
The vast majority of people are helpless with computers. This will end in our lifetime though when everything is Google and Apple based.
>>58102246
You might be right, I honestly though the culture changed and people stopped trusting shit they find
>>58102226
>>58102200
The best part of these main stream RATs were the back doors built into all of them. Optix pro had the easiest one ever.if (IS11 == TRUE)
sprintf(szBuffer, "022¬kjui3498fjk34289890fwe334gfew4ger$\"sdf¬v1.1\r\n"); //MASTERPASSWORD = 1.1 Server
else
sprintf(szBuffer, "022¬kjui3498fjk34289890fwe334gfew4ger$\"sdf¬v1.2\r\n"); //MASTERPASSWORD = 1.2 Server
Optix pro built in passwords that would work on those versions. lol.
(I didn't read the manual)
>>58102299
Just look at how much amazon and google make from ads. 97%+ or more of their revenue come from people clicking on their ads. Randomly clicking on whatever link they see. So no, people are still retarded.
The only part that I'm not sure about is how viruses efficiently spread. I get how they'd make system calls and communicate with host. It's the spreading that I've never understood. Mostly because I've never been to informed on networks.
>>58102211
I'd say it might be even easier since most kids assume anything they install on their phone is safe because "phones don't get viruses".
>>58102278
What about W10?
I though one of the big reasons for pushing W10 was increased security. I remember reading soon after it came out about people struggling to write rootkits for it, but a quick google search shows people got around whatever protections they had
It sounds weird but I'm pretty glad to hear the scene is still alive for skiddies with rats
>>58102371
In the good ol days you would rent an exploit kit for a few days, find a source of traffic to it (eg advertisements that allow iframes), have the ek load a dropper, and load your malware from the dropper.
Either that or post fake cracks on torrent sites
>>58102371
In the good ole days of good remote exploits (LSASS, DCOM, UPNP), you would just have an infected computer port scan for the ports those services listened on and then send the malformed packet that would cause a buffer overflow that you could do what you want. Other ways were to just spread via P2P sharing, chat programs (aim, msn, icq) by parsing friend lists and sending links to people one by one. The chat spreading worked very well in certain circles. Then there are flash/browser exploits that allow the running of remote code on the user's pc.
>>58102291
how would that fucking help
>>58102469
Apple make it really hard for normals to ruin their devices with malicious software. Google might make a push to help remove malicious things from the internet or maybe help educate users.
>>58102469
Lock down computers so hard no one can run anything apple and google don't want them to run
>>58102495
but that's people becoming even MORE helpless.
I used to keylog back around 1999-2005 or so.
I had several girls and boys in my highschool class (2002-3), I was able to watch one of them on his webcam.
After that I had hundreds of girls, mostly from the 'elite' schools in Melbourne, Australia - like MGGS.
My favourite was just a simple keylog app called SC-Keylog, which would email me reports, they were easy to scan through and gather passwords and things.

Looks like vista in that first pic, but I think OP said earlier, these pics are at least 6 years old and were found on this board back then
>>58104050
yea I came across that post like an hour later.
The window in the background iwth the list, is a list of slaves. They have their specs listed, one of them has only megabytes of ram.
The screencappers os looks to be vista, but the slaves operating system column is blocked by the forground window.

Old school stuff for sure. Looks like the guys who did it and made the screen caps had a bit of a chuckle along the way
