Why would anyone use server 2016 over Windows 10 as a desktop OS?
I don't know. Why would they?

supposedly less telemetry
this is a popular trend with chinamen
it's actually a form of cargo cult computing. they believe server is more 'luxurious' and because of that prefer it to windows 10.

This is true, I spend most of my time traveling for sales and I see it frequently in business meetings and teleconfs. It's the same reason they will use gold wallpaper on their desktop, and have less respect for those that don't.

It is a bad idea. Thinking you are botnet free just because it's a server edition is delusional.
Also, A LOT common software will require a pro license to install in a server version. And some will simply not work.

Instead of paying for the os, you pay for the cpu cores you can use with your os.

Ratshit, shut up.

Also, you don't have to "upgrade" to bypass hardware restrictions.

Blatant lie
All Windows 10 editions (including server) have the same level of Telemetry and the only one that SUPPOSEDLY you can disable is Enterprise.
