Have you ever examined any company's profit margins in your entire life? Like even just once have you ever actually googled "average net profit"? Do you even understand terms like "overhead," "dividends" or R&D?

They pay these people what they agree on to pay and they pay to have the buildings built and maintained. Companies also do millions of dollars of research and development.
What I'm referring to is a company does all that R&D and then Apple reshapes it and releases it with their own name THEN decries anyone else as copying them even if someone else released it first.

I think I'm more just disappointed in how stupid the average consumer is, I guess.

What the fuck are you talking about, Dell has been kicking ass lately, the XPS series is fucking amazing. Dell seems to be the only ones innovating at the moment, with world class battery life, amazing build quality and materials, other stuff that matters like small display bezels so they can fit a large display on a physically small laptop.

Fuck off. People make fun of Macs for bending like crazy, the metal on Zenbooks are 1/5 the thickness resulting in even easier bends, not to mention their hopeless as fuck $400-$1000 mainsteaming pile of shit line that barely lasts 1 year from purchase. Asus did a great job with eeePC though, the X205TA and E200HA are very strong options in the under $200 market.
