Is there a FOSS version of game maker?
Have you tried looking on Google for FOSS game engines? Or the exact words "FOSS game maker?" Its not like we all know something you don't.

Speak for yourself. Me and /biz/ have ideas that stay far out of reach of Google's nasty tendrils

For a COMPLETE beginner with no prior coding experience, what's the best libre game-making software?
I'm looking for something that's powerful, yet suitable for beginners to jump into.
It can be a little challenging but nothing extreme, with some sensible design choices and coding capabilites/aspects.
(This is not the same question as OP... as he didn't state his experience level.)
