Nah mpv is even better and runs on non retarded operating systems. Mpc-hc is only used because madshi uses it with his mad* product. Mpv is much better than everything else to play videos.

Can I hotkey everything?
Can I slow the video down to 13% of it's speed or lower?

Can I switch audio channels on the fly?

How do I override ASS sub color settings? For example, in this pic I'd like to make the outline of the text black so I can read it easier. I've looked at various options in the man page and none of them worked for me (they 're for srt subs).

Let me tell you what you see when you open mpv. You see the video. That's it. What else do you need? Scrubbing? Sure, mouse over and you will get the seek bar. Want to take a screenahot? Press s, done.

There is literally NOTHING you need to mod. Not a single damn thing.

But if you want to? Go ahead. Your little 1990s player cannot do it, so you go and make it out as something bad. It's time to move on. A new player for all walks of life is here, and that player's name is mpv.
