EE grande école student here. It's schway as fuck. They teach all the languages you'll ever need (i.e. x86 assembly, C and Lisp) first year with both theoretical algorithmic courses and an introduction to hardware to make sure you'll never turn into one of those pink haired code monkeys. Also with the exception of languages class (in which we basically just do retarded exercises online), all our computers run Fedora Linux, with almost exclusively FOSS and real text editors (Emacs is taught, VIM is allowed and some cuck even installed Macfag Text on his PC). The school has its own mail and IRC servers as weel as game dev and general software dev associations and a cybersec conference is being organized at the end of January.

It is real engineering, it is the first type of human activity that was called engineering. Any kind of engineering that came later (mechanical, chemical etc.) only was called engineering because they shared some attributes with civil engineering.
