I actually went mouseless and now I'm using a window manager called Ratpoison, which lets me use terminal commands without a terminal. Even so, wouldn't think of forcing every anon to jump right into it, you need a period of learning.

Using the CLI for basic or even mildly advanced os functions: like fixing things when the gui doesn't respond, okay thats makes sense.

Is that even possible? Sooner or later you'll have to fix something and that requires using the terminal 99.99% of the time.

I do that when I use third party ppa's, but sometimes people don't name their programs right.
