What /g/ thinks about these books?
Want to learn coding some simple (web, android) games, would /g/ recommend these books?
>Swift
They couldn't pay me enough to read it
Don't be a retard, pirate all the books you need, don't buy unnecessary shit

Not a single book about how to make actual games that don't suck.

the game dev books are all shit, and irrelevant. the app and languages im not sure. if you are into gamdev check vg/agdg/ they can help you out with gamedev education links for free.

Learn C# if you want to create SIMPLE games.
Only garbage.
Target audience are all the steam reddiators that think ''Dude lets make a game LMAO''.

>paying for digital books
not even worth stealing

>it doesn't cost anything for them to print, so it should be free rite guys?? xDdd
Fuck off, someone spent months writing each of those books
i just can't really get behind paying for a book when most of my time spent learning about a language comes in the form of exploring edge cases by looking up freely accessible information in the form of stack overflow Q&A, commentary on always-updating documentation, etc...
reference books made more sense when we couldn't just search for stuff, but now it's kind of a wonder they bother to publish them at all.
