Hi enlightened people of /g/. I've had one of these sweet sweet units for about a month now and am now deciding whether to root. I've always had rooted android devices with custom roms or CM but I'm still undecided if it's worth it any more. This this is so smooth and fast, and the camera is GOAT tier, has anyone had any problems with them after root?

I strongly advise you not to root. I rooted my brand new Galaxy, and my mother died. Now, I can't be sure that the two are related, but why risk it?

It seems like you only used root so you could switch ROM but if that's no longer the case then you don't need root. DNS66 can be used to block ads without rooting and then you can complement with uBlock Origin (if you use Firefox) for cosmetic filtering.

use package disabler pro to debloat most of your device
