I wish I had learned a physical trade,
instead of software.
I can't build anything real, like machines or chemical reactions.
If you're still young, think about it.
Chances are, 98% of you won't do cutting edge research, but merely software "engineering".

It's pretty comfy imo. Sorry about your bad experience, I hope you find something you really enjoy!

go fuck yourself

software is 90% of most tech nowadays
you can make amazing shit with micro controllers

rude man
Should have gone with EE.
>>58006641
Yeah, EE, or mechanical engineering, or chemistry (though I hear the social part of studying chemistry is intense, very competitive, backstabbing atmosphere)

Wth is arduino?

But anon, that's the beauty of it. Software is virtual, there are no limits. You can download whatever software you want, modify whatever software you want, create whatever software you want, all from a cheap computer.
Compare that to any physical craft. Let's say metalworking for example. You're going to have to spend hundreds on machines, tools and materials before you can even start learning the craft. All of those tools have to be in a workshop so there's only one place where you can practice your craft. You might have dream projects that you wish you could do, but you never can because you can't afford it. Plus if you do create something cool, you'll only be able to share it with friends and family, no one else will be able to experience it first hand because it's a physical product and therefore they need to be physically there.
Software development is way better imo.

How old are you?

> can't build chemical reactions
> can't catalyze computers
> can't build a wall
> can't get a gf
why even live
you know why you are bitching and moaning? because you've never had to truly work for a day in your life
when i used to work a shit manual labor job, i would see people walking around in office attire - slacks and a button up. you know what? they didn't have a single drop of sweat on their foreheads
so if you want to ruin your life for no apparent reason, by all means op, go ahead
