Yeah I've had a few issues, things turning up broken. They have an awful refund system, they give you store credit and some points but no refund unless you threaten to go to your bank. It's annoying.

Pretty much flagship internals, decent battery life, 5.7" 1440p screen will be great for your dad, isn't much more expensive than a rmn3p, usb type c so he doesn't have to worry about plugging it in wrong, etc.
FP scanner in case he forgets his password too.

Camera is worse than flagships though, no SD slot, and only usb type C audio (claimed to be lossless) are the only catches I can think off of the top of my head.

Don't waste your time/money on searching for shure tips. Do this trick for you to use any regular tips;

-if you have spare shure tips cut off the tips tube
-or cut off a small piece of cable insulator, make sure this will fit on your iems bore (see pic related)
-those tubes(cable insulator/old tips tube) will act as spacer for the regular tips to fit
-if its still kinda loose, you can add teflon tape and wrap the iems bore for it to have a proper isolation on the tips

Most of the point of CM last time I checked is bringing the newest updates to the oldest, unupdated devices. The RN3P has an official fully functional 6.0 Marshmallow ROM, there's little reason fiddling with CM13 for it.

As for CM14, I heard it's unstable and some shit doesn't work, mainly the camera. It's also a chore to put on a "Global" Kate version, and some people have reported the extra bands to not actually work with it despite the modem files. Plus the newest Nougat MIUI ROM is said to land sometime January.

My ONN W7 mp3 player arrived this morning guys, here's a little info on it.

Physically it is slightly larger than the Ruizu X02.
The screen is the same size as the Ruizu X02 but seems to be higher quality.
The rear of the device seems to be aluminium, which is nice.
The on-board storage is 8GB.
SD CARD MAX SIZE IS 32GB, much to my annoyance as my 64gb shark simply does not work in it.
The audio quality is absolutely fine, same quality as I expect from the X02.
The built-in speakers are surprisingly good, low volume until you max them out but surprisingly clear, I will make use of these.
FM Radio I was unable to make work but I live in a valley with awful reception, there seems to be no way to go BACK from FM radio though other than turning the machine off, which is annoying.

The UI is not as awful as the stock X02 UI but it isn't a lot better, left and right function as up and down while up and down often do nothing, play is play, power is back and there seems to be a button dedicated to "Stop everything you're doing and open the voice recorder".

Now, problem;

When I first turned it on shit was fucked, the storage was empty but nothing could be copied over to it, examining it in my computer lead to crashes and I was pretty disappointed, thinking I had been Chinked hard. However, I did manage to copy a single track to the device and when I played it, I noticed something very strange. The track playing back was NOT the track I had copied over, it was some chinese music I could not recognize.

The onboard memory was full to the limit with chinese music which could not be addressed by the player or my computer, it existed but it could not be accessed. A quick format later and everything works as expected. 7.5GB of weird chink music lost but at least the device works now.

The three buttons across the middle of the device, Recorder, Play, Power. They do not feel of good quality, Play in particular rocks side to side quite a lot but so far i've had no problems.

Chink tempered glass is shit. I ordered two different ones from different shops and both were so thick, they triggered the proximity sensor of the phone.
