Depends on what are you trying to do

Its for small task and requires visual help, like a HIM for an operator

Well, thats what I use it for

I like it. I build little rigs for things in work using it. Can't really say what it's like otherwise since nothing lives for more than 6 months due to focus shifts.

Good Things:

> Unique Visual Programming Experience
> Fucking based Prototyping
> Stable Ecosystem
> Ultimate tool for Hardware stuff (DAQ, Testing and so on)
> The whole VI server thing is very clever.
> Dataflow Paradigm (a.k.a Non retard approach for parallel programming)
> NI is a good company
> Good Community.


Bad Things:

> Proprietary Stuff
> Expensive.
> Wires can be annoying.
> Very limited for VCS.
> Literally Windows only (Linux and MAC versions are a joke)
