Personally this is why every car needs Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

No matter what anyone says. It's always shitter to have something the manufacturer has cooked up. Unless it can link perfectly with the phone and not have hang ups.

Ford has a pretty awesome voice controlled system with their Sync. I'm not a fan of Fords but when I had one for a company car I could search my iphone music by genre, artist etc with voice. It was even learn how you said stuff and adapt commands to how you phrased them in the past.

I barely had to take my hands off the steering wheel. Climate control, music, gps everything quick and reliably controlled by voice.

VW on the other hand... brand new car and it can't even phone people in my contacts list without fucking up half the time. Unless you're John Smith it will just dial a random name and did I mention it doesn't ask for confirmation? Naw, it just dials them right away even if it has no clue if it's the right contact.
