Okay so I need to buy a laptop for Uni (running Matlab/Abaqus and other general mildly CPU intensive processes.

This doesn't need to be for games as that's what my 1070 desktop is for.

Requirements:
64-bit OS
SSD (I don't mind buying whatever and fitting a 2.5'' SSD in the HDD slot)
15 Inch screen size+ (the more the better desu)

Price:
$500ish tbqh, don't mind buying used/refurbished if it's in decent condition
