Thats the power demand for an Excavator module, and Zen uses this per core. IE 8 cores at 3.15ghz would take 80w, leaving about 15w for uncore. This matched up really nicely with the OEM samples we were seeing around 3.2ghz with a 3.5ghz turbo. If they're hitting frequencies north of 3.4ghz while staying inside of the 95w TDP, free from throttling, then its pretty big. Shows the versatility of the 14nm LPP process that anandtech trolls swore up and down would never clock to even 3ghz.

3.5ghz even at 10w per core is tremendous for a new arch on a new process never used for a high performance CPU. With a refresh clocks closer to 4ghz could be viable inside that same envelope. Smaller cores lend to better clocking in terms of thermals and power constraints.

AMD is known for using dirty tricks and hacks to make themselves better, take anything they say and make it worse by 40% and then you got the real AMD
