I bought that first Samsung ARM Chromebook when it first came out, and later got Crouton and then Arch running on it. It was a flimsy piece of shit with a shit keyboard. I paid $250 for it.

Later bought an IBM X60 for like $110 incl. shipping from eBay, threw an extra hard drive I had laying around in it and bam, probably the best bang for your buck sub-$200. I've replaced the battery once in the 18 months or so that I've owned it.

I threw Void with i3 on it for about a year but I recently actually started needing to use my laptop for non-autismo things and Void was giving me issues, so I slapped Xubuntu 16.10 on it.

Boy I almost forgot how GOAT Xubuntu is.

What the fuck else are you going to get for $200?

Got an 11" Dell inspiron for 300.
Its actually way better than I thought. Plays HD video fine, can handle 10+ chrome tabs well, even performs smoothly using google maps street view.
Shame about the 32gb eMMC
