In what programming language are BIG video games programmed?
Games like GTA V, Dark Souls,The Witcher, etc. Not crappy mobile and browser games.

My guess'd be C++ or equally low-level languages.
C++ - GTA's base engine, RAGE, other parts of the base (MSVC++ 2005 for PC/360, likely gcc/g++ for PS3)
C - likely some external libraries statically linked in the GTAIV.exe
C# - RGSC client/server components, possibly encoders
'.sc' - game mission script; used in some form since GTA2's 'MISS2', but changed in IV from the previous version
ActionScript - web interaction stuff, R* loves Flash
PHP - R* homepage web applications, using the CakePHP framework

Usually C++ for 'low-level' fast stuff, then some higher level DSL for other logic.
iirc most ubisoft stuff is in C++
