I see people talking about it in like every comment section for anything
>>57969793
But how is it a meme? Hype doesn't make a meme.
>>57969865
Everyone talking about it that I see is memeing it

If you haven't seen it in action, don't call it a meme.
>>57969901
I have seen it in action, but everywhere I see people talking about it, they treat it like some kind of prank

Macs USB ports are protected. So you wouldn't be doing anything other than plugging in a USB butt plug essentially.
>>57969934
It's not a "prank".
When plugged into a device, the USB Killer rapidly charges its capacitors from the USB power lines. When the device is charged, -200VDC is discharged over the data lines of the host device. This charge/discharge cycle is repeated many times per second, until the USB Killer is removed.
Simply put: used on unprotected equipment, the USB Killer instantly and permanently disables unprotected hardware.

USB Killer is working on a new version that bypasses that protection.
>>57969962
They're not. You can fry a MBP by charging from more than one usb-c port. Same result with USB killer.
