Why Google doesn't drop a complete desktop OS?
>>
You mean ChromeOS?

It's not a complete desktop OS. It's driven by Cloud.
>>
Because desktops are deprecated, mobile is the future.
>>

Which is their business.

Plus, ChromeOS has an entire API for offline app, so it could be considered a full desktop OS.
>>
Someday you will not even need an overpriced desktop to run software. Everything will be on cluster computers running your shit. Your machine will just have the ability to stream.

Chrome OS can be used for some desktop-like tasks. Light programming (using several notepad-like apps), making music (Soundtrap; a GarageBand knockoff), storing offline files (the Files app, which is surprisingly good), not to mention Offline Google Drive AND free Microsoft Office apps. There are even a few ways to torrent things with uTorrent extensions. Then there's Android apps, which you can now use on Chrome OS for virtually anything else ("gaming," for example).

Chrome OS is actually surprisingly robust. Still not quite as versatile and robust as, say, Windows or macOS, but it's pretty aight. It's certainly more than "just a browser" nowadays.
