I think the fear is more if laws change to make it a crime to have unauthorized copies of files they're basically fort knox in terms of finding all the guilty parties. I agree they wouldn't voluntarily cooperate, but that doesn't mean it's not a problem if they get subpoena'd

they care way more about people sharing content than they do being in possession of it. not to mention the fact that a lot of their userbase is international, it just doesn't seem like a plausible scenario, even for the MPAA and the like. I would quite literally be more worried about the Windows botnet itself than the Plex services
