Do you guys leave your computers always on, or turn them off

Just get a SSD nigga. I turn mine always off because it boots in five seconds. No reason to have it sucking dust in all the time.

At least use sleep mode if full boot takes too long for you.

If I intend to leave my PC for greater than 10mins, I generally lock it (which quickens the sleep trigger)
If I intend to leave my PC for greater than 60mins, I generally turn it off entirely
Sometimes I forget to turn it off, so it just goes to sleep
Way back in the 90s, my dad always told me to turn off any electronics I'm not using
In the 00's, dad bought me my first PC. He told me if I wanted to keep it, I had to take really good care of it, because he couldn't afford another one. So the best information I had available was that turning it off was a good idea/reasonable practice.

Now, many years later, I've still heard no evidence to the contrary.

I turn it off because my dorm has no circulation and it makes my room very hot. Otherwise I leave it on to seed when I'm not using it.

I have an AMD GPU so my cursor corrupts if the computer is powered on for more than 3 days.

Keep it running. I often leave projects half finished or with a major todo at 2am and wake up at 6am so I like to be able to pickup right back where I left off immediately like the neet I am. There 's probably some way to save my x session to disk or I could just suspend/hybrid but Im lazy and my computer is low power draw anyway.
