Got the same thing a few weeks ago. Honestly there's not much you can do with it just yet. The games are shitty and watching a movie in VR is subpar and will kill your device in an hour or so.

Using it with Photos is cool if you've taken any photospheres or panoramas. Street View is a cool way to go outside without actually traveling. And YouTube is probably the best experience on it as of now if you search for locations and tours. Go to Disney World.

Seconding photospheres, they're cool as hell. You can see ones other people have taken if you go into the street view thing I think.

Also check out Adult Swim Virtual Brainload. It's not really a game, more of a movie where you can look around. But it's cool, and a neat thing for showing other people virtual reality.

And if you're looking for Christmas presents for kids, get one of the cheap google cardboard kits for around $15, they work with Androids or iPhones.
