Better idea:

Get a 1050ti or an RX 460,

Get a custom cooler (maybe the hyper 212 evo) and overclock the cpu (although i don't know what you can do with your motherboard)

As old as that processor is, all overclocking it will really do is speed its path into the junk yard.

Yeah, RX 460 or GTX 1050. Hands down will be the best bet in this cirumstance. They're pretty close to even, just pick one.

You'll definitely notice an improvement, but don't hold your breath for a smoke and mirrors magic trick, here. The most major improvement you'll see is the fact that the card is enough newer that higher-end effects like reflections and high-detail texture mapping will be much better supported, and you'll be able to use newer graphical libraries and driver software for a smoother experience.
