Can anyone suggest to me a good guide on setting up SAMBA on a new Ubuntu or Debian server?
And / or
A good GUI to create and manage SAMBA shares on Ubuntu or Debian computers?
I am trying to get one up and running but holy shit every document I find is outdated, and I've tried like 3 GUI tools but they don't work (I think because of the systemd thing).
I am dicking around with the config files now, but I'd really like to have a GUI application because I am new to the system.
TLDNR: how to SAMBA in this day and age
Alternatively, what other server tools besides SAMBA to you use to share files on your network.
Thanks

Just find some preconfigured example and edit your usr/share/samba/smb.conf like the big boys
>GUI
This board is not for technolo/g/ically illiterate users
Unity's default file browser has sharing built in.
