I need to buy a notebook today, but i still dont know whether to prioritize VRAM or RAM. The main difference between the 2 PCs is that the one with 12gb ram has a 2gb GTX960 , and the other one has 8gb ram but a 4gb GTX. That is really the biggest difference (besides the motherbord which is asus for the 12 gb ram and intel for the 8gb ram). Which should I buy?
BTW i use my PC mostly for gaming, but i record and edit music aswell (Pro tools and fl studios)
8gb will be plenty for any gaming needs and most other stuff that you would do on a laptop
if you need more in the future going to 12 or 16gb is an easy upgrade
however, if youre buying a laptop with a gaming dedicated gpu right now, i heavily suggest looking into something with the pascal 10 series gpu's
a gtx 960 isnt much, still a good gpu, but not pronominal
getting a laptop with a mobile 3gb or 6gb gtx 1060 is a much better option
processing speed is more important.

examples. msi has this out right now, with either an 8gb or 16gb ram option, with a 3gb gtx 1060
which is plenty for a 1080p screen

Please do not going with the previous 9-series GPUs..
It's pretty much obsolete mobile chip set at this point

Yeah ik but where i live 1200$ can only get me that far. Shipping isnt really an option, so im forced to pay an exagerated price.
