Hey, /g/. Not really sure if this is even appropriate for this board but I'm fucking lost.
I listen to Youtube in the background while playing games or messing around on the internet, and recently I'll get audio for an ad, only I can't find it. It doesn't stop either, and the only way I've found to make it stop is to open Task Manager and force shut down Chrome.
It's either some form of adware, or YT is seriously fucking up, because it even happens when a video is over and it's recommending other shit to watch, if left long enough.
I tried scanning my rig with
Malwarebytes
and it didn't find anything, and the antivirus I use didn't pick anything up either.
What do
pic unrelated
firefox tells you what tabs are playing audio

So does chrome, and it tells me no tabs are playing audio, which is why I think it might be adware.
Except it stops when I close chrome, so I come full circle and think it's just chrome/YT.
I'm at an impasse and am lost as fuck.

Install ublock.

Trying this.
If it works, thank you, if it doesn't, at least you tried.
Is there any program that targets adware specifically just incase?

ublock is primarily an ad blocker but it also blocks other useless tracking shit.
