Latest update to Thunderbird (and subsequently, Icedove) made it unsuable - I couldn't even figure out how to log in, it gave me a retarded browser like thing that didn't work.
Not to mention, it's being discontinued.
Switched to Clawsmail and have been quite pleased.
If you use pgp be warned, prior to the latest release, there was a retarded default setting that pushed plaintext temporary autosaved drafts to the server - I've confirmed this fixed with at least 3.14 though.
