first, stop being a dumbfuck /pol/lack who thinks everything is a "redpill"
second, it's Linux. All Linux distros are mostly the same under the hood, they just differ in two areas: Default setup and update/release policy. For Arch that's "there is no default setup, you build your shit from pieces yourself" and "rolling release, everything updated asap", respectively. If that sounds appealing you'll like it, if it doesn't, you won't.
Try to install it with just the wiki guide. If you manage to do it in under and hour, congrats, you have 100< iq and will probably like arch, if not, stick to windows 10 like the other tech illiterates on this board

After reading the whole thing, you're redpilled.

There are retard tutorials that let you install arch in 10 minutes, like pic related, if you have enough bandwidth.
But that gives you a completely shit installation.
Most arch users do shit like this and don't even setup lvm/dmcrypt for their laptop.(thats also why pick related).
They don't even encrypt their home partion and mounted drives, what would be the sane alternative and what most distros do.
Its also a good way to ensure you can recover your system without carrying an installation media if something fucked up. Unless you fear that somebody modifies you installation at the airport of course.
Don't get me started on grsecurtiy, selinux or firejail. Most people will probably get robbed one day, by those pesky electron apps like skype.
My point is this: windows/ubuntu/new users are not the kind of people who should run arch, even if their friend gets all the "hot" new software from the AUR and they feel inclined to do so. Software isn't crack cocain. You should be able to wait, if not what are you even doing on linux?
The childcare service distos exist for a reason and those types of users should never install a "production" arch linux system.
Most people i know use it as the canary in the coalmine daily-driver disto on at least one system.
Its getting even worse these days because antegros/manjaro i-want-the-aur retards are taking over.
On the other hand, if you know what you are doing arch is pretty grate.

>hur durr I can install Arch I'm so cool
Arch install for me took literally less than half an hour.
If you can't really follow a guide that spoonfeeds you on installing an OS(I'm talking about gentoo) then you shouldn't really ever switch to Linux.
>Be Arch shill
>Post desktop on the chan
>Continue shilling and making more users install arch
>Arch wiki sees more new traffic
>Arch fags delete parts of the wiki
>????
Explain why I would want to correlate with eliteists when basically every Linux distro does the same shit without acting so smug.
